‘Fix It Fridays’ at Lymley Wood Forest School, Rotherfield

At Stagbrook, we believe good craftsmanship can make a real difference, not just in homes and gardens, but within the wider community too. That’s exactly why we launched our ‘Fix It Fridays’ initiative.

Last Friday, we spent the day at Lymley Wood Forest School supporting Lorna and the fantastic team behind this inspiring local space. Using existing materials already available on site, Andy constructed a safe additional step to improve access to the toilet area, a small but important improvement for the children who use the woodland setting every day.

While the project itself was simple, the impact is meaningful. Forest schools like Lymley Wood provide children with the opportunity to learn outdoors, connect with nature, build confidence and enjoy the kind of creative, hands-on play that is becoming increasingly important in today’s world.

Creating safe, functional spaces for children to explore and grow is something we’re incredibly proud to support.

What is Fix It Fridays?

‘Fix It Fridays’ is our way of giving something back to the local community.

Twice a month, the Stagbrook team donates two hours of labour free of charge to help individuals, charities and community projects that could benefit from an extra pair of hands.

That might include:

  • Helping an elderly neighbour tidy a garden

  • Building shelves for a local charity

  • Repairing fencing

  • Jet washing a pathway

  • Small carpentry or maintenance jobs

  • General improvements for community spaces

Sometimes, it’s the smaller jobs that make the biggest difference.

Know Someone Who Could Benefit?

If you know somebody locally who could use a helping hand, whether it’s a neighbour, community group, school or charity, we’d love to hear from you.
