‘Fix it Fridays’: Giving Back, Properly.

At Stagbrook, we’ve always believed that what we build goes beyond bricks, timber and paving. It’s about people, community and showing up when it matters. That’s exactly where ‘Fix it Fridays’ came from.

What is ‘Fix it Fridays’?

It’s our way of giving something back to the communities we work in every day across Sevenoaks, Tonbridge and Tunbridge Wells. Twice a month, on the second and last Friday, we send one of our team out to help someone locally with those jobs that just haven’t been getting done. No invoices. No hidden costs. No catch. Just two hours of our time to make a difference.

Why we started it

We’re in and out of people’s homes and gardens all the time. We see first-hand how easy it is for small jobs to pile up. Sometimes it’s a lack of time.
Sometimes it’s not having the right tools.
Sometimes it’s just life getting in the way. And sometimes, people genuinely need a bit of help. ‘Fix it Fridays’ is about stepping in where we can and doing something practical that actually improves someone’s day.

The kind of jobs we help with

This isn’t about major renovations or full-scale builds. It’s the smaller things that often make the biggest difference. We’re talking: Garden tidy-ups, Jet washing patios and driveways, Putting up shelves or fixtures, Minor repairs around the house, General odd jobs that have been sitting on the list. As we often say, maybe the garden’s turned into a jungle or the patio hasn’t seen a jet wash in years. We step in and get it sorted.

How it works

We’ve kept it simple: Nominate someone who could do with a hand. Tell us why they deserve it. We choose a winner and arrange a visit. Our team comes out and gets stuck in. Each session is capped at two hours, and we ask that any materials needed are provided. Beyond that, it’s just us doing what we do best.

Community first, always.

A lot of our work comes through word of mouth. Local recommendations. People trusting us with their homes. ‘Fix it Fridays’ is our way of giving that trust back. It’s not about marketing. It’s not about selling. It’s about being a business that actually shows up for the community it’s part of.Because at the end of the day, the strongest foundations aren’t just the ones we build on site. They’re the ones we build with people.

Know someone who deserves a hand?

If someone comes to mind, nominate them. Whether it’s a neighbour, a friend, a family member or someone in your local community, we’d love to help where we can.
